Durability, Care and Cleaning
Jewellery - Jewellery should be kept in a clean, secure place preferably a lined jewellery box with separate sections.
Harder gemstones like diamonds, rubies and sapphires can scratch softer gemstones like pearls and opals .
Metals can scratch each other, and chains can tangle and twist and get damaged if they are handled carelessly.
Pearls - Customers should take extra care with the cultures pearl jewellery and should never toss it into a purse or a jewellery box along with other jewellery pieces. Pearls require a certain amount of moisture from the air and sealing them in an airtight container or an extremely dry place, like a safety box can ruin them. Also frequently worn pearls should be restrung once a year or after every other cleaning.
